ABOUT US:

Please join me - Rick Jones - for a musical ride (and not the one the RCMP is famous for). You will hear some very different tunes (including some Looney Tunes) to expand your listening pleasure and you'll hear some commentary that will bring a smile to your face... and possibly make you question my sanity... LOL J

with your host Rick Jones

8-10pm

Featuring music from "Nash the Slash" to "Johnny Cash", local musical talent, along with lively commentary from the host... it all makes for a unique radio experience!

I’ll take requests, and I'll try and source any songs you may have heard in the past but can’t seem to find!  And if you are in a local band or single send me a cd with a bio and we'll see if we can get you on the air too.

  1. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds- William Shatner (ya it’s Captain Kirk, beam me up quick this cover is so bad…..)
  2. Blinded By The Light- Manfred Mann’s Earth Band (Springsteen made a bag of money on this cover)
  3. Born To Be Wild-Nash The Slash
  4. Superstition-Stevie Ray Vaughan ( Stevie Wonder tune)
  5. Good Vibrations-FM
  6. Day Tripper- Jack Blades & Tommy Shaw (Beatles tune with Tommy Shaw from STYX)
  7. Green Onions-The Blues Brothers (Booker T & The MG’s)
  8. I’m a Man-Chicago Transit Authority ( Stevie Winwood tune when he was with The Spencer Davis Group)
  9. I’m Losing You- Colin James (great Blues version of the Lennon song)
  10. Wipe Out- Dick Dale & Gary Hoey (a rippin cover of this early 60’s classic)
  11. Smoke On The Water- Nash The Slash (Dopes On The Water?)
  12. Who Do You Love- George Thorogood ( the best version ever)
  13. War Pigs- Hayseed Dixie (Black Sabbath gone Blue Grass…seriously)
  14. Hallelujah- Jeff Buckley ( slightly better than KD Lang’s version of this Leonard Cohen classic)

  16. Hurt-Johnny Cash (this Nine Inch Nails cover is simply BRILLIANT!)
  17. So Far Away-Christopher Cross
  18. Siren Song-Alan Parsons
  19. Baba O’Riley- FM (long standing favorite of NASH)
  20. Light My Fire-Jose Feliciano ( this song brought The Doors to middle age America)
  21. Eight Miles High-Lighthouse (this live version show off the band… it’s a little long but it is eight miles high)
  22. Hotel California- New Found Glory (this version grows on ya after a bit)
  23. Higher Ground-Red Hot Chili Peppers (another Stevie Wonder tune)
  24. Streets of Philadelphia- Ritchie Havens (wonderful song and a great movie too)
  25. Jealous Guy- Roxy Music ( Brian Ferry and the boys do a nice Lennon cover)
  26. Gimme Shelter- Sisters of Mercy (a dark, dark version of the Stones classic)
  27. Mrs. Robinson-The Lemonheads (a PUNK version…hey it works)
  28. Happy Together-Weezer ( Flo & Eddy of The Turtles would be proud)
