TONIGHT:  The Conservative, Green, Liberal and NDP candidates in the Caledon-Dufferin riding will all be participating in the Bolton Kinsmen All Candidates Debate.

When:   Tuesday October 7th
Time:    7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. 
  • All area residents are welcome to attend, as this event is geared to the general voting public
  • The debate will be in a Town Hall Meeting format, with questions from the audience following 5 minute opening remarks from each of the candidates.   There will be a brief intermission after the first hour.
  • If you will be unable to attend the debate in person, can still listen LIVE on B105.5FM Bolton, or via streaming internet at  www.radiocaledon.com.

    16500 Hwy 50, Palgrave you can learn all about creating bird habitat on your rural property, then join anaturalist for a unique night hike to explore the hunting and nesting grounds of some of our most exciting cavity nesters, the eastern screech owl and the barred owl.  Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring a small flashlight.

Saturday, October 25:

  • A Murder Mystery Dinner Tour aboard the Credit Valley Explorer Tour Train:  Join with friends for a truly suspenseful evening aboard Orangeville’s own Credit Valley Explorer Tour Train!  Enjoy a four-hour dinner tour through the Hills of Caledon but be careful, you never know who might be lurking in the seat behind you!  The event, hosted by the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association, boards at 5:00 pm in Orangeville and includes a four-hour scenic tour aboard the Credit Valley Explorer, a fabulous three-course dinner with choice of entree, cash bar and a lethal dose of suspense and intrigue.  In the spirit of the event, guests are being asked to come dressed in roaring twenties attire!  Tickets are $99/person.  Reservation can be made by contacting the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association at 1-800-332-9744.

Thursday, October 30th:

  • The Wine & Cheese Gala Season Opener of Sylvia, a touching musical comedy about a lost dog is a hilarious commentary on mid-life angst, and the role pets play in our lives. This is the season opener for Caledon Townhall Players. It is directed by Pamela Niesiobedzki-Curtis and produced by John Carter. Tickets for October 30th include a Wine & Cheese Gala Season Opening to celebrate our 45th season- at 7:30 in our basement green room.  Curtain time -Evenings at 8:15, cost $15
  • Caledon Townhall Players have attempted for the first time to offer some Thursday and Friday evenings as well as to do some Sat and some Sun matinees.  BENEFIT: In addition to our usual charity nights, because the play is about a lost dog and her struggle to stay in the home she finds, we have decided to help other dogs like Sylvia- so the second week of the run -Nov 6,7,8,9 We will be donating $2 from every ticket sold to work with animal rescue and the humane society.  Curtain time -Evenings at 8:15 :Oct. 30, Nov. 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 15 cost $15;  Matinees: at 2:15 -Nov 2, 9, 15 2008 cost $12
